I have been advocating the importance of being realistic recently. This seems to contradict my natural tendency for turning things on their heads until they collapse.
What does 'realistic' mean, after all? To which reality am I struggling to adhere? How likely is it that any of us will ever be able to perceive the Real beyond consensus reality?
Sometimes I wonder if what sets apart those who are not psychotic from those who are is their ability to remain unconvinced to some extent by their version of reality.
